2014 Advent Reflection: Fourth Week
“Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son,
and you shall name him Jesus.
He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High,
and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father,
and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever,
and of his kingdom there will be no end.” – Luke 1
On this, the last Sunday of Advent, we are all waiting and reflecting on the mystery of Jesus’ Return. We should all be resting in the awe and in the slender of the Advent Season. Meanwhile, we are reflecting on how our God will entered our world, again.
We pause today to receive the gift of the Baby Jesus, offered to all. Offered to bring “Peace and Goodwill to all humanity.” Let us focus on His Peace. The kind of PEACE that pass all of our human understanding.
May we have watchful “HOPE.” Not the kind of hope, such as we are “wishing for something to happen;” but the kind of HOPE that we “Fully expect” to happen. We all need to believe in this kind of HOPE that we have confidence in the Lord’s promises to us. Let us pray today, that we might be His Love to those in our families and be His servant-leaders to those in our communities that we will be His hands, His ears, and His voice of reason to all in need.
Question For Further Reflection
How are you demonstrating God’s love to those around you?
How are you being His Servant-Leader?
