Advent: Week Three 2017

2017 Advent Reflection Week Three

“Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

(Luke 2:14 NKJV)

The shepherds received a message of joy

Today: How are we sharing the message of JOY in our communities?

In many corners of our NATION people are crying out for a sense of joy for our nation. Our nation is broken! Our nation is wounded! How do we move people from a sense of hopelessness to a sense of JOY?

This Advent Season, just like the shepherds we are all called to carry the message of peace and goodwill to our communities. Around Christmas time, people will be singing and wishing one another, “peace of earth and goodwill to all of humanity.” May I suggest that “goodwill” towards all people is a good place to begin the healing process. Helping people to find a sense of JOY is a message that will cause the light to shine bright again.

Share: Discuss ways your family or Bible study group, you are displaying joy.

Encourage: Encourage those around you that you see living or walking in darkness, to live in the joy of Christ

Evaluate: Identify distractions that will keep you from truly worshiping Christ this Christmas.
